"People often ask me why I chose Icelandic Horses.  I’ve always gravitated toward the more exotic and unusual.  The Icelandic Horse is certainly not mainstream, and lured me with its smaller size, reputation for gentle temperament, and smooth gait called the tolt.  I also appreciate that they come in almost all known horse colors and I find the long thick manes and tails especially attractive if challenging to maintain."
